1. Introduction

By using the services provided by Oak and Apex, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all clients purchasing any of our publishing packages or services.

 

2. Services Offered

 

Oak and Apex offers three primary service packages for self-publishing support:

 

• Starter Package: €399
• Premium Package: €799
• On Demand Package: price determined per project

 

All services are customized based on the client's project.

 

Project Timelines
All delivery times are approximate and given as a guide. Delays may occur depending on workload, responsiveness, or unforeseen events. No refunds will be issued due to delays.

 

Client Content Responsibility

Clients are fully responsible for the content they provide. This includes spelling, grammar, punctuation, and factual accuracy. Oak and Apex is not liable for written content errors.

 

3. Client Responsibilities

 

Clients agree to provide the following:

 

• A final, edited manuscript in digital format
• Front and back cover files (or design guidance if included)
• Administrative details such as ISBN (if applicable), author bio, book blurb
• Timely responses to communication and approval requests

 

Failure to provide necessary materials may delay the project.

 

4. Payment Terms

All services must be paid in full upfront via:

 

• Bank Transfer
• PayPal

 

No work will begin until payment is received.

 

5. Refund and Cancellation Policy

 

Refunds
All payments are non-refundable, except in rare cases, such as:

 

• Cancellation before work has started
• A mutual agreement due to exceptional circumstances

 

Refunds (full or partial) are issued at our discretion. No refunds for work already completed.

 

Cancellations
Clients may cancel within 14 days of purchase, provided no work has begun. After that period, or once work has started, cancellations are non-refundable.

 

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all materials you provide. Oak and Apex does not claim rights over your manuscript. We may request permission to use cover images or titles for promotional purposes, with your consent.

 

7. Limitation of Liability

Oak and Apex is not responsible for:

 

• Loss of data or files sent by the client
• Errors within the manuscript
• Delays or issues caused by third-party platforms (e.g., Lulu, IngramSpark, Barnes & Noble)

 

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the service.

 

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by French law. Any legal disputes will be handled in French courts.

 

9. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website.
